World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses like PvE damage and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will be able to gain an additional 3% of the previous damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a significant possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails. Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. In the endgame you'll often discover that the Best item upgrade way to improve your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and give significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using a Glyph will boost all nodes that are linked to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for Upgrade Item example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrader kit upgrading system lets players increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player improves an item level upgrade, the base item upgrader kit will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback in that the item could increase in price even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more money on materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or speed of reload). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, Upgrade Item a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs mentioned above.
