This could include increasing the power of its attack, critical strike chance, or damage per second. Additionally an upgraded item could be able to offer additional bonuses to its equipped unit. These upgrades are able to be used for a number of reasons for example, to increase the overall strength of a particular or group unit. They can also affect the overall the gameplay.

Any NPC that upgrades items can be located in the game. In general NPCs can be found in major cities or questing spots. Players can also find upgraders when they visit dungeons with high-level bosses, or by chatting with NPCs in their garrisons for their faction.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players upgrade the level of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is very similar to the process of reforging gear in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however instead of using the currency that is appropriate players must visit an Item upgrader kit upgrader NPC to complete the process.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button that has an arrow for rerolling players can roll it into an upgradeable item.
