The Pre-licensing Course can be taken in the classroom or via distance learning/virtual classroom. If you opt for the classroom version, then you will receive a MV-278 Certificate of Completion. All courses follow the same curriculum, regardless of which version you take. If you are able to successfully complete your course, the instructor will notify the DMV immediately and you will not have to present a certificate when appearing for the driver's test.
