What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Some upgrades also give you additional random boosts in addition to stat boosts. These boosts can be important and should be considered when deciding which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts can only be used in certain designs (such the Whistan's Shield, which is for FB Sorcs) Some are beneficial to collectors.

Some items come with built-in boos that is not beneficial when upgraded. For instance, the Goldwrap offers an additional potion slot. These are usually upgraded to inject more value into an item that is perfect or close to being perfect.

Costs

There are a few costs related to upgrades of items. The first cost is the upgrade item itself. This cost depends on the new level of the item upgrading and the amount of perks it will gain, and can be expensive. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of materials needed for an upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. The quantity of these items required is available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

Upgrading an item is complicated and takes time. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The base stats of the upgraded item are calculated based on its new ilvl and other properties. This calculation determines the updated Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial stats. In some instances the upgrade will provide additional perks that can be selected from a list of perks.

Rarely, the new benefits gained will cost more than one perk slot In these instances the upgrade will replace the highest-cost perks. Sometimes, the upgrader may make other modifications to an item, for example, changing its weapon damage type or adding or removing an unwieldy or operational property. The cost for these changes is determined by the new ilvl of the item, and may require a special substance like the adamantine alloy.

Success Rate

The upgrade of an item is dependent on chance. Like any random system there is a chance that it will not succeed. There are several ways to increase the chances of success. This includes the use of an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of additional materials to your upgrade.

An Upgrade Pity is an item you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an upgrade being successful by a certain percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer, but it is more secure. It can be added to any weapon or armor and is able to be used up to three times.

It is also possible to add a number of additional materials to the upgrade, increasing its chances of success. The materials are displayed in a window located above the + button. However, there are limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is displayed directly above the + button in the UI.

A Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version thereof, can be used to boost the chances of a successful upgrade. This item can be useful when your piece of equipment or weapon is near or has reached the top level of its tier. It will let you upgrade the equipment to the next level without risking breaking.

If an upgrade fails it will be returned to its original condition. This is often a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. It is a good idea to save an upgrade when you're near the maximum level of an item, and to use it as a last resort.

There are a variety of items available in the Kafra shop that can be used to improve the chances of an upgrade succeeding. Failure Rate

You can also choose an insurance policy that will safeguard your equipment in the event of a failure. The cost of this protection can differ however it will always be less expensive than the cost of buying a new item upgrades. The safeguard is only valid only once per upgrade and will last until it is used again.
