Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly called "upping," improves an Best item upgrader's stats. Each upgrade increment results in an increase in linearity of any stat.

Players can recycle six items at a time to get a gauge of each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling an item scales with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats on your weapons and armor.
