On the surface, media executive Chloe (Jessica Biel) looks to have the perfect life, with her seemingly happy home with lawyer husband Adam (Corey Stoll) and teenage son Ethan. But then Adam is murdered and the police investigation - headed by oddball detective Nancy (Kim Dickens) - turns up suspects and secrets that threaten to overturn the carefully constructed myth of Chloe's existence. Teaming up with her recovering addict sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks), she sets out to unravel the complicated web of secrets surrounding her family. 

A stylish and clever eight-part mystery thriller, this is a taut and intelligent series that manages to marry genuine nail-biting suspense with a script that revels in icy wit. Biel is chillily impressive as the damaged Chloe but Banks steals every scene that she's in as Nicky, the slacker sibling with a fantastic line in withering put-downs. (Eight episodes)
