In our testing the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our runner-up, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface types including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin that removes a major source of maintenance and lowers the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot vacuum cleaner best to start, stop or pause its cleaning session and to move around the room and sweep the area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to speak commands to the i7+, like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models, and its vacuuming ability is significantly better on low-pile floor carpet.

It's capable of sucking up all kinds of debris in our testing, and it often passes over the same areas multiple times to get a really thorough clean. Its flat front end helps to get into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice addition.
