WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrades Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item upgrader kit from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which will show an item's preview at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item upgrade slot and current item level Upgrade level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount for upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade require various methods, which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a particular item upgrader kit level for a particular armor slot, upgrading further items to that level will cost less, even when they belong to a different gear set.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is affixed to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain achievement milestones.

Crests

Players have a number of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the type or gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-level gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it does bring some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests have one usage, so it's important to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrade equipment you have and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning on making. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
