World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items are an essential part of gearing up your character. Upgrades boost damage to items and enchantments.

They also provide bonus effects and improvements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.

The upgrade button is located on any item. Each item recycled adds a level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapons

When a weapon is upgraded, it gains an initial damage bonus, as well as an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. Some upgrade components have cosmetic effects, while others offer additional benefits. These upgrades can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools. Most require the equipment to have an upgrade slot that is available and meet certain requirements. If a weapon piece has an upgrade component in it, it is able to be upgraded, but the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be recovered through the Black Lion Salvage Kit, Ascended Salvage tool, or a high-tier salvaging tool that is attached to an item upgrading.

A weapon can also be upgraded to include a calibration attribute that increases certain stats, for example Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is done via the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. Depending on the weapon tier, this can be done up to four times.

When the weapon reaches its maximum level of upgrade it can be reforged to add different effects and bonuses or to boost specific stats. Several of these upgrades can be re-applied at once, and their effects vary depending on the rarity of the weapon.

Two Blacksmiths are able to perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons, and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the type of damage a weapon can cause.

In general, it's advisable to improve your weapon's damage first. Then, you can upgrade your armour defense and, finally, the secondary stats required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapons before upgrading other equipment. This can help increase DPS. This is especially true for enchantments, which can be very efficient in increasing the weapon's damage and other stats.

Armor

Item Upgrades let players enhance the effectiveness of specific weapons, armors trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades may also have additional effects such as increased damage or cosmetic enhancements. item upgrading upgrades can be obtained through crafting, buying from NPC vendors, through loot drops, or as rewards for quests.

The upgrade of armor can be done by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies. Most armor will upgrade to the next level following an upgrade. The majority of armor types can be upgraded, however some items (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island) cannot.

Most armor upgrades provide a small increase to an item upgrader's defense base or strength. However, certain upgrade components can give significant increases to strength or defense, especially when upgrading an epic item.

Certain upgrades grant specific abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can be useful in combat, for instance providing a boost to attack speed or blocking. Some upgrades have passive effects that can be beneficial like reducing damage while wearing armor or enhancing the chance to dodge an attack.

Upgrades to armor can require several attempts, depending on the type. For example the case of a player wanting to upgrade the strength of a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale The first attempt would result in a new piece of Dragonscale with a base defense between 59-67. The second attempt would result in a new Dragonscale armor that has the base defense between 67 and 77 and so on.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players to upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do this, they must visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations has a powerful fair who can change the quality of an item upgrader mod of armor for you.

Despite popular belief, armor is not useless in The Division 2. The truth is that some armors have very significant boosts to poison or curse, fire, or magic damage reduction, making them very useful for specific builds. There are other ways to improve armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait that increases armor penetration, or the challenger trait to reduce the weight of the entire armor.

Potion

A potion can be upgraded by placing it in the brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new level of potion effects, and can be repeated to get more potency levels.

The potions also get the ability to select a custom color that can be set by the player via /give. This color will affect the area-of-effect clouds as well as the arrows generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color of the potion also affects the effects of the particles in the potions.

The water bottle, common and thick potions, as well as difficult potions, now have a different texture when they are brewed. Added potion of weakness and potion of healing in Creative inventory. The addition of lingering potions that can be prepared with splash potions or Dragon breath. Additionally, there is a thick potion which has the status effect Mining Fatigue. Problems related to this update can be tracked on the Bug Tracker.

Trinket

A trinket can be described as a small inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. This can be a ring, necklace, or even a small flag used to identify a vessel's yard that is lateen. It can also refer to a gilded trinket on the mast of a ship.

This bizarre trinket appears to be influencing the inhabitants of this maze, making them more common. This trinket at its current level makes all types Xx of mimics more prevalent and gives each floor an Y% chance that it contains an ebony-colored replica. Upgrades to this trinket cost a small amount of energy.

This enchanted Scepter's magic seems to affect the dungeon by increasing the probability of generating water and grass. This trinket, at its current level, will cause X% of regular floors to be filled with grass or water. It will not affect glyphs, enchantments or cursed weapons or armor, or items that are produced to solve danger rooms.

Although it appears to be a normal newt's eye, this mysterious item appears to affect your vision in ways beyond just reducing your field view. This trinket, at its current level, increases the health gained by drinking healing potion and wells of life by X%, and grants mind sight on enemies within Y tile. This is not a stacking feature with Heightened Senses.

Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after you've completed the Mastery Cave. You will find them when you defeat Monsters and in chests and crates. They are not found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

Place the trinket into the Anvil when it needs to be upgraded. This will have a random effect on the trinket, either increasing its duration or strengthening its effects. You can reorge the trinket as often as you'd like, but it will always have the same effect.

You can upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy, but will increase the power of the trinket by a small amount.
